anope software package provides IRC Services designed for flexibility and ease of use, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install anope
anope is installed in your system.
Make ensure the anope package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep anope *
You will get with anope package name, version, architecture and description in a table
